It seems that the prolonged era of the ban on the use of mobile devices on board the aircraft has come to the long-awaited end: the US Federal Aviation Administration FAA) is currently considering a proposal to amend the relevant air traffic regulations.
It should be clarified immediately that it is not about canceling the ban on making phone calls and sending out UWC SMS-messages from mobile phones. However, with the introduction of new unified rules for American air carriers, passengers will be able to freely use audio players, e-books, and connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi (of course, if there is an access point on board).
Despite the positive verdict in regarding mobile devices issued by the advisory council at the FAA, against the lifting of the ban were members of the flight attendants' association: in their opinion, electronic devices are a potential threat, so their use during the flights is extremely poor.
