The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey published a preliminary report on the results of 2013. Despite the markedly increased popularity of this direction among Russians, the Germans retained the first position in the overall rating of the tourist flow.

From January to November, 4,2 million Russian travelers visited the cities and resorts of Turkey, which amounted to 12, 6% of the total number of foreign guests. As for the main rivals, over the same period the country received 4.82 million tourists from Germany (14.6% of the total tourist flow). Although our compatriots did not manage to rise to the top of the podium, they headed a similar rating for the most popular Turkish destination - Antalya.

In total, 33 million foreign travelers visited Turkey in the first 11 months of 2013, which is 10% than on the previous year
