Add a review about the Museum of Bread and Wine

The Museum of Bread and Wine is one of the youngest museum complexes in Gelendzhik and one of the most unusual. It would seem that there may be unusual - after all, both bread and wine we are familiar with. However, what do you think, what exhibits are exhibited in this museum? This is not bread and wine at all (although you can also try these products here), and all those items and utensils that help to make them.

The history of the museum started very unusual. The museum itself is not located in the center of Gelendzhik, but in the village of Arkhipo-Osipovka, which is part of the resort city. Here, in Arkhipo-Osipovka, the river Vulan flows. From its waters "caught" a millstone. Experts say that this mechanism dates back to the mid-19th century. It was cleaned thoroughly from mud and silt, and it turned out that it is fully functional, despite the fact that its teeth are made of wood.

The Museum of Bread and Wine is one of the youngest museum complexes in Gelendzhik and one of the most unusual.

A mill mill worker pushed the founders of the museum to build a windmill. It was done exactly according to the technologies that were used in the past, the same materials were used. And in 2010 the museum was opened in the mill itself. And this interactive museum - in it you can not only see the exposition, but also participate independently in baking bread.

The museum consists of two halls. The first is located in the mill itself, and it is devoted, respectively, to bread and everything related to its preparation. Visitors can get acquainted with the history of the mills, as well as with those technologies that existed for the preparation of bread before. Here you can even grind the wheat yourself - in a hand mill, called a croaker.

In the center of the hall there is a large Russian stove - you will be offered to light it, and then bake bread in it - just as it was done in Russia from time immemorial.

The second room demonstrates the work of the farmers - a plow, a sickle, a scythe, a harrow, a hoe and even a modern cultivator. There is also an exposition devoted to the development of agriculture in the region, as well as the development of winemaking. Be sure to look at the ancient jugs and amphoras found in archaeological excavations - it was in those that used to store wine, and it could stand for years and decades.
