The original building in the Moorish style, which became one of the symbols of Yalta, was built in 1903 specifically for the emir of Bukhara under the project of architect N. G. Tarasov . It is known about the friendship of Seyid Abdul Akhan Khan with Nicholas II: the emir specially purchased a plot of land over the Seaside Park to be closer to the imperial family, traditionally spent summer days in the Livadia Palace

Besides the snow-white palace, the emir built several more in the resort capital of Crimea buildings, laid the park, but the tests were held only by the residence of the ruler.

The Emir's manor is distinguished by its refinement: as if descended from the pages of the eastern fairy tale the building is decorated with capitals, carved columns, horseshoe windows. In the ownership of the Emir of Bukhara, the palace ensemble remained until his death, and then the architectural landmark of Yalta passed to the son of the first owner.

Palace of the Emir of Bukhara in Yalta

The Emir of Bukhara gave his name to the palace - "Dilkiso", which in translation from Turkic means "charming", "captivating". In Soviet times, the magnificent palace was nationalized, in 1921 in the two-story building the Oriental Museum was opened. And then the sanatorium began to work in the residence.

The construction suffered a considerable damage during the Great Patriotic War. After the restoration, the palace was turned into one of the buildings of the Yalta sanatorium.

Address: ul. Sevastopol 12/43, Yalta.

Palace of the Emir of Bukhara was named for a reason, but because here once lived a real emir, though only in the summer period . The building in the Moorish style is exotic for Yalta, such blue domes are no longer seen in the city . Unfortunately, the palace now houses the sanatorium "Yalta", and the entrance is only for holidaymakers . But we were helped by a security guard to go to the territory and capture some species . There is a palace on Sevastopolskaya Street, but this is the back part, and you can go into the territory from Volodarsky . We just walked along the park and moving towards the waterfront wandered into this paradise oriental corner . If you go further along Sevastopol, you can go to Gogol Street . Emir, who rested at his residence, thoroughly helped Yalta, annually allocating considerable sums for the city's needs . At the time of Soviet power there was a museum of oriental culture, that it does not preserve because the building is better suited for this, and such a beautiful architecture would be available to everyone .
