Italy's Consulate in Moscow fulfilled its promise: its staff fully normalized the process of issuing short-term tourist visas. In order to avoid such problems again in the future, the diplomatic establishment will issue an annual multiple visa to everyone who has at least one Schengen passport in the passport.
Recall that since mid-May, the Moscow Italian consulate began delays in the terms of issuing visas to Russian tourists, as a result which already by the beginning of June in the visa department accumulated about 20 thousand passports. Last Friday, Italian Ambassador to Russia Antonio Zanardi Landi said that the problem had completely exhausted itself, and currently the average waiting period is 4-5 working days.
According to the preliminary forecasts of the Ambassador before the end of 2013, the Consulate General of Italy in Moscow will issue of a total of 1 million visas
