The Airbus Bag2Go device developed by T-mobile mobile operator and German Rimowa suitcase manufacturers promises to revolutionize in the field of carrying baggage
German developers presented their first prototype to the public at the recent event "Airbus Innovation Day 2013". The "Airbus Bag2Go" revolutionary case includes a GPS system, mobile communication and an identification radio chip. Thanks to these three elements, the system is tied to the owner's smartphone using a unique identification number. The "Find my bag" application allows the passenger to track the location of his suitcase in real time.
In addition to the Airbus tracking capability, the Bag2Go includes a "smart lock" system that allows the owner to find out if the suitcase was opened while traveling by an unauthorized person.
The developers hope to commercialize the Bag2Go project in the very near future
