Schengen

Last Friday, new rules for visiting the Schengen countries entered into force.

Changes have affected holders of short-term "C" category visas, including tourists. From now on, travelers can stay in the Schengen area for no more than 90 days for six months. The main difference from the old regime is the cancellation of the "calendar format": if earlier a tourist could stay in the Schengen area from April to June and renew the visa from July to September, now he will have to wait for October to close the 180-day period. @

To avoid unpleasant situations, tourists who make frequent trips to Europe are advised to count the number of days spent on the Schengen territory in advance.
