Turks were well noted in Evpatoria, and teki - one of the first religious buildings in the Crimea. And this is one of the oldest medieval buildings in the city. The monument appeared in the 15th century
This monastery was built for wandering monks - dervishes. Tekih consists of a mosque with a minaret, and next to an inn. By the way, this is the only structure in the Crimea that represents the Sufi trend of Islam.
The architecture is simple - there are no fancy decorations, as the pathos do not correspond to the asceticism of monks. Around the main hall are rooms-cells of dervishes. These are small, tight rooms with windows through which rare light rays penetrate.
In the evenings, in the prayer hall, dervishes circled to the sound of a drum and flute and circled in dance, performing suras from the Koran. So they fell into a trance and completely left the outside world. They say that the Teki retained the energy of the dervishes, which now helps people get rid of their ills.
Two hundred years ago in the Crimea there were 22 teki. Today there was only one - in Evpatoria.
