In Feodosia the mosque of the Ottoman Empire was preserved - it was Mufti-Jami built in 1623. In terms of construction is a square, the walls of the architectural monument are made of massive stones. It is known that the mosque appeared in Feodosia under the reign of Murad Khan the Third, it was rebuilt more than once, but the dome and minaret itself have survived to our time practically unchanged.
The ancient mosque has three entrances - east, west and north (main). The octagonal minaret of Mufti-Jami is made of butane and limestone. There was a mausoleum (durbe) in the courtyard of the mosque in the 17th and 18th centuries, but this building did not survive.
At one of the periods of the mosque's history, the Armenian Assumption Church was located in it. Restoration of the structure was carried out in the 1980s, the masters sought to restore its original appearance, fragments of the painting remained inside the mosque. Regular services in Mufti-Jami resumed in 1998.
